Of course I know Little Foot loves me, however sometimes I still ask if she loves us as much as we love her. Today I had confirmation of just how much she loves me. She shared a Cheerio.

Alyson's first thanksgiving!
We celebrated Aly's 8 month birthday in Pennsylvania! We went to Pennsylvania to visit my brother, Kai, and his cute cute family. Deborah and her family also joined us. The three little girls (7, PK, and Aly), had so much fun together... Ok, so 7 copied PK's and LF's every move, and PK and LF were fairly oblivious to the other baby around. 7's birthday was on Thanksgiving day, so it was yet another reason to gather family together.
Little Foot did great with the drive. We left Tuesday night after mark got home from work at 8 pm, and LF fell asleep quickly. We arrived at Kai's house at 2 am, and put LF straight in the pack and play. She cried for... 10 seconds and fell right to sleep until 7 am.
Have I said how lucky we are? LF sleeps from 9 pm to 9 am, sometimes later, sometimes a little earlier.
We got home Sunday evening, just in time to give LF her dinner and have a nice relaxing bath. The next morning she had no memory of the long hours we had her strapped in her carseat.
Alyson and her cousin, PK eating. All they cared about was the FOOD on their trays instead of in their mouths.
My brother has a huge tub, LF looked so tiny in it.
Her favorite game is peekaboo, especially with daddy.
She LOVES the swings!

Alyson signs!
It's like the "Helen Keller" light bulb lit up inside of her. Alyson has learned 3 signs in just one week. Milk. Mom. And water. Alyson loves to drink water so that is a very useful sign for her to learn.

So sorry so late...
Our Little Foot is growing up so quickly! At around 5 months old, she rolled over for the first time from her back to her belly (she had been doing belly to back since she was 2mo), ever since then, she prefers to be on her belly, especially while sleeping. Her favorite sleeping position is on her knees with them tucked underneath her belly so her butt is in the air, and her hands tucked tightly under her chest.
Today was her 6 month check up, 25 days after she turned 6 months! She is officially 2 feet tall! She is also 13lbs 6 oz. They are supposed to double their birth weight by time they turn 6 months old, and she is 6 oz away from that.

Alyson loves to eat! Her favorite is pumpkin by far! We planted pumpkins in our garden this summer which turned out to be a great idea. She can eat a whole pumpkin on her own in just days. I only just tried her on some greens last week, and so far they are a bust.

Pickles!
Pickles, Pickles, Pickles. Yesterday I spent most of the day pickling. This year in our garden we planted green beans and pickling cucumbers for the sole purpose of pickling (we attempted dill, but it never came up)! We have 11 jars finished and will probably be doing about 10 more before the season is up (we get about 4 cucumbers a week and 1 handful of beans a day!). I can't wait for the pickles to be ready, but I plan to save a few jars for years to come!!
